My son has just completed his Grade 7 guitar exam (distinction!), and we couldn’t be more grateful to his amazing tutor. Not only has Rupert helped my son develop strong technical skills and confidence, but he’s also made every lesson something to look forward to. My son absolutely loves the classes – the teaching style is engaging, the materials are excellent, and it really makes a difference that Rupert is an active gigging musician. The real-world experience he brings into the lessons inspires my son and keeps him motivated. Highly recommend!

Not necessarily! I have spare instruments available for your first lesson. I can also help you choose a good beginner-friendly guitar if you’re thinking of buying one.
Yes — I work with students of all ages, from young beginners to adult learners. Lessons are always tailored to suit the age, ability, and interests of each student.
Absolutely. I offer online lessons via Zoom for students who prefer learning from home, for those who don’t want to travel every week or for those who live outside Nottingham.
Of course, we all start somewhere!
Many of my students start from scratch. I’ll guide you through everything step by step in a relaxed, supportive environment.

I’ve helped many students pass exams with distinction. If exams are one of your goals, we can build a plan around the grade syllabus of your choice (Rockschool, ABRSM, LCM, Trinity, etc.).
Lessons are usually 30 or 60 minutes, depending on what suits you best. Most students take one lesson per week, but I’m flexible — we’ll arrange a schedule that fits your routine.
